Day raises £1,210 for charity
A huge thank you to everyone for supporting our event. It was a great day all round for the charities, club, and riders.
We enjoyed Simon’s new routes to Sambourne. The bands were hot and the bar did some very good trade.
Best of all, you raised a fantastic £1,210 for the Birmingham Hospice (prev. St Mary’s) and the local branch of the MND Association.
My sincere thanks to everyone who took part, bought raffle tickets or helped in any way to make the day and night such a success.

Chaingang Anthem – Over the hills and far away
We get in groups so we can come
in colors blazing like the sun
To ride and drink… tea all day…
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
So get in line and join the fun
The Ride Leader’s number one
Along the road to come what may
O’er the hills and far away
And our Garmins come in handy
With routes supplied by Simon Stanley
We will never lose our way…
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
Though I may travel far from Spain
A part of me shall still remain
In Formentor, Pollensa Bay…
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
An old Chugger he scratched his bum
Do the Chaingang have all the fun?
They seem to party night and day…
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
