The open sea swim starts…
with a jump off the end of Eastbourne’s historic pier, one of the most iconic starts on the triathlon calendar.

Luckily the sea was kind and beautifully calm.

On the Marathon section, after cycling 112 miles on the road out of Eastbourne, then quiet country lanes, and back to Eastbourne via Beachy Head

Just over 14 hours after jumping off Eastbourne pier at 5:50am, Rachel crossed the finish line.
